May 20, 2026
|Airdrie and Coatbridge Advertiser
An award-winning family-run pizza business is looking for a slice of the Monklands action after officially opening its new factory in Coatbridge - creating new jobs and more than doubling production capacity.
Victor Pizza Ltd, founded in the 1970s as a small family bakery, has grown into a £5 million business while staying true to its roots in quality, tradition and community.
Best known for originating the Pizza Fritto, a chip shop favourite across Scotland, the company has become a familiar name in the Scottish food industry while expanding its wholesale reach across the UK and Ireland.
The new 24,500 sq ft Coatbridge facility was officially opened at an event attended by partners, customers and stakeholders.
Adrian Gillespie, chief executive of Scottish Enterprise, cut the ribbon as guest of honour, alongside guests including local councillors Alex McVey and Frank McKay, industry bodies such as FDF Scotland and Scottish Engineering and partners including Bank of Scotland, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and North Lanarkshire Council.
