A lightweight MacBook Air alternative for frequent travellers

Asus’ Zenbook A14 is one of the closest Windows laptops to a MacBook Air. It’s incredibly light - just under a kilo - and sports a super-long battery life, making it something of a portable powerhouse.

Made of Ceraluminum, something you won't find on the periodic table, Asus' baked-up material is aluminium with a ceramic coating. It has a softer, warmer feel than aluminium, while providing decent rigidity at low weight. The beige finish is also a refreshing break from the norm.

The A14 has a decent offering of connections. Besides the standard familiar two USB-C ports there’s a full-size HDMI, headphone socket and old-school USB-A. Nothing exotic, but better than many.
