For the second time at the World Expo, Cartier presents the Women's Pavilion —a space to spark conversations and shape the future.

If Japan is on your travel list this year, the Expo 2025 in Osaka should be a definite must-visit. Held every five years, the World Expo is when the world comes together in one host city, forming a hub for global innovations where new technologies are born to help tackle humankind’s challenges and pave the way for a better future.

But more than anything, the World Expo is known for showcasing breathtaking architecture. This year, the expo is hosting 165 participating countries, regions and organisations, each with their own unique pavilion, all sprawled across 383 acres of land on Yumeshima Island. (So do remember to pack your comfiest walking shoes).

And Cartier happens to be one of them. For the second time now, Cartier stages the Women's Pavilion at the World Expo, following its debut at Expo 2020 in Dubai. So what's the story behind it? Women have always been a muse for Cartier, inspiring the brand. With a deep commitment to gender equality, Cartier believes that when “Women Thrive, Humanity Thrives.” We all play a part, but getting there takes collective effort. Which is why the Maison emphasises the power of collaboration—coming together to pursue true equality. In fact, the Women’s Pavilion itself is built on collaboration: this year, Cartier partners with the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, and the Japanese Government through the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Gender Equality Bureau Cabinet Office.
