DENTAL care these days can feel a bit overwhelming, it's little wonder. and Gone are the days when looking after D your teeth meant brushing twice a day. With at-home whitening kits, multi-formula toothpastes and fancy flossing gadgets, there are many ways to keep your teeth looking good.
Your teeth play an important part in your appearance and enhance your smile, so it's vital to look after them. To keep your pearly whites in top condition - and prevent them from making you look old before your time - try these tips from oral health experts.
1 MAKE A DATE WITH YOUR DENTIST
Not having a dental check-up regulary means there's potentially decay going unchecked. It's also important to go to the same dentist, or the same dental surgery so your dental records are in one place.
"Seeing the same dentist reduces your chances of needing further treatment by 30%," says dentist Dr Tony Smith, founder of the Teeth4Life app.
Have a check-up every six months and get regular professional cleans from an oral hygienist to avoid problems later on.
2 GET IN THE GAPS
Clean between your teeth daily with interdental brushes.
