The investments comprise both memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and recognized commitments, spread across multiple high-growth sectors.
Karnataka's flagship Global Investors Meet - Invest Karnataka 2025 concluded on a high note, securing investment commitments worth ₹10.27 lakh crore, with an anticipated employment generation of over six lakh jobs. The announcement was made by Hon'ble Minister MB Patil, Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries, alongside Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. The investments are set to significantly impact the state's economic landscape, with nearly 75% of them directed outside Bengaluru, particularly benefiting North Karnataka, which will receive over 45% of the total investments.
Sector-Wise Breakdown of Investments
The ₹10.27 lakh crore investments comprise both memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and recognized commitments, spread across multiple high-growth sectors. Renewable energy emerged as the largest beneficiary, accounting for 41% of total investments, followed by core manufacturing at 15%, sunrise sectors at 14%, infrastructure and industrial parks at 11%, general manufacturing at 10%, and startup capital at 9%. A notable aspect of this year's investment cycle is that 70% of the projects from the industries department are greenfield projects, underscoring Karnataka's push for new industrial expansion rather than just the augmentation of existing capacities.
