NAGALAND'S famed Hornbill Festival, which remained suspended since December 5 in the aftermath of the civilian killings in Mon, was officially called off on Tuesday.
The festival, organised from December 1 to 10 every year to mark statehood, draws tourists from all over the world.
The government's decision to call it off comes after several tribal organisations withdrew from it in a show of solidarity with the victims.
