Celtic v AC Milan
Tonight, 8pm
NEIL LENNON knows a Celtic manager needs to strap in for a bumpy ride on the back of a roasting from Rangers – but he remains convinced he is the right man to be at the wheel.
It seems a bit over the top it’s even an issue for a gaffer who has won five trophies out of five since his return to Parkhead but he knows it comes with the territory.
Lennon has been savaged from all quarters following Saturday’s 2-0 loss to their bitter rivals. He won’t pretend it doesn’t hurt, or it doesn’t rile him up that he doesn’t have more credit in the bank.
But the sniping from the sidelines won’t stop him either.
Lennon said: “I’ve proven over a long number of years we have the mettle for it. I don’t buy into the praise when it comes too much – and I don’t buy into the criticism however vicious or personal.
