PREMIER League referees are the most trolled in the world – with Anthony Taylor getting the bulk of the abuse.
The 43-year-old is officially the planet’s most despised sports ref, according to statistics on levels of online abuse they get after officiating a game.
An FA insider said: “There is a problem with trolling in football on a massive level. People target players, whole teams and definitely refs.
“We have had issues of refs complaining about getting death threats – and this is all over a game of football.
