CZECH REP 2

Tartan Army down but not out as 23-year wait for top tournament ends in defeat
THE Tartan Army in Scotland’s Fan Zone were down but not out after the national team lost their first Euros match to a Patrik Schickinspired Czech Republic.
About 3000 gathered at Glasgow Green to watch on huge screens – strictly socially distanced due to Covid rules – but in classic Scotland fashion, the game ended in heartbreak.
Despite having a host of chances, the Scots were unable to put the ball in the net and went down 2-0 to the Czechs, whose star man Schick scored both the goals.
But disappointment at the result didn’t stop the fans who’d travelled to the country’s biggest city enjoying the action.
