A BABY girl died after falling into a garden pond at her granny’s house as the family celebrated her mum’s birthday.
Devastated neighbours told how they heard screaming after Ella-Grace Rimington was found unresponsive in the small pool of water.
It is understood the family had gathered at Ella-Grace’s grandparents’ home in Dollar Avenue, Falkirk, to celebrating the tot’s mum Nicola Strathearn’s birthday when the tragic incident took place.
It is reported that the 18-month-old was pulled from the water by frantic relatives who desperately tried to administer CPR before medics arrived at 6pm on Thursday. Ella-Grace was rushed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert where she later died.
Neighbours said they have been shocked by the tragedy.
