KEVIN & GRACE WONG Retiree and Homemaker
Kevin and Grace had both hesitated over tying the knot as it was the second marriage for both of them. Happily, it worked out well and they have been married for 14 years. Their meeting was interesting to say the least. Grace reminisces: “We met at a dance club. We were there with different groups of friends who knew one another. I was on the dance floor when Kevin came over to introduce himself and invited me to dance. We even partnered for one competition in basic waltz, tango, foxtrot and quickstep. We were placed among the top three but decided not to compete any more as it was very stressful for us!”
Their Second Chance
GW: This was the second marriage for both of us. We mutually felt we could care for each other.
KW: We felt we could learn dancing together and could perhaps go for competitions… but we knew how that ended! Ultimately the love we have for each other was strong enough for us to remarry.
Differences?
GW: He is the homely one. Kevin will be researching his various interests, which could range from asset management to particle physics, or the origins of the universe and life at the other end… He constantly pursues the answer, if any, to the question of whether a god exists. Also, Kevin eats a lot but cannot cook.
KW: She is very active in meeting up with friends and going shopping. Grace cooks but eats little!
Best Moments Together
GW: Holiday moments with just the two of us. We both like to sightsee, shop, look for interesting restaurants and watch stage performances.
KW: We enjoyed doing all the above at our leisure, but more so in cities.
