Experiencing the ride of a Maserati via a route of comfort and luxury in the Middle East is one great experience, relates Anton San Diego
Last February, the luxury car brand Maserati launched a major test drive of four of its 2018 models in four waves, involving several locations in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East and 32 lifestyle journalists from the same regions. It was aptly called “Esperienza Maserati.”
We were invited by Maserati Philippines to join the test-drive in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) to experience the world of the luxury brand via a lifestyle experience. By test-driving the Ghibli, GT, Levante, and QP in Dubai, “Esperienza Maserati” also aimed to increase the cars’ range visibility and awareness, reinforce the message of the models’ on-road and off-road competences, test the available range extensively on-road as well as off-road in a variety of exciting and atypical settings, and use the versatility of Dubai’s DNA to reinforce Maserati’s values of tradition merged with innovation.
Our home in Dubai was the plush Bulgari Resort. Upon arrival, we were given a welcome dinner at the Presidential villa where we met some of the Maserati executives as well as our colleagues (international media and social media influencers alike) who will do the test-drive with us.
We had an early start the next day, 9am, as the test drive will take us to the neighbouring city Abu Dhabi, just an hour’s drive away, to visit the newly-opened Louvre Museum. We immediately spotted the car for the trip: the Maserati Levante Gran Lusso, a top of the line SUV.
