Expat Kitchen has been keeping tummies across Singapore satisfied and nourished for over a decade, offering a variety of courses each week for beginners and bona fide cooks alike. The cooking school is tucked away at the top of a shophouse in Little India (9 Norris Road, #02-01) – walking through the neighbourhood with all its wonderful colours and aromas certainly gears your imagination up a notch before getting to class!
I enrolled for the new Marvellous Moroccan focus class, with the lovely Sara as our instructor. I was joined by four other spirited ladies who were sent by their employers; they were a hoot and added tremendously to my enjoyment of the course. Everyone knew their way around a kitchen – no rookies in our class! For maximum benefit and enjoyment, I would recommend having at least a basic working knowledge of cooking before you attend this particular course.
