Learning new things is what I usually look forward to when I’m on vacation. It can come in any form but that’s what makes a holiday more wholesome! During this trip, I discovered that pearls aren’t only found in Japan and the French Polynesia but in Australia too. You can find these precious beauties at Willie Creek Pearls, a business that’s owned and operated by the Banfield family since 1989. Apart from browsing on your own, you can also opt for a guided tour which includes sitting down and enjoying a glass of champagne while the establishment’s founder, Debbie Banfield reveals the tedious processes of producing pearls and the reason why they’re pricey.
QUAY PERTH
Located in Perth’s CBD, this boutique hotel serves as a hotel/co-working space and also a spot where you and your friends can chill and hang out during breakfast, lunch or dinner. It has over 80 rooms divided into five categories, 10 co-working office spaces, a rooftop bar and a coffee bar, where the morning crowd can stop by for a quick breakfast. Designed with a minimalist concept, the rooms feature wooden and marble elements, which lend a refreshing and trendy look and will definitely help you feel at ease. What I loved most is the cosy sofa that’s strategically placed by the bay window in my room, which overlooks the public walkway outside. Sitting here as I watched the world go by and reflect on what I wanted to get done and strategize how to meet my targets for the day worked to my favour!
