Christmas surprise!

Christmas 1966 could be the busiest Yuletide yet for the residents of Nonnatus House in the festive special of Call the Midwife.

The nuns and midwives are rushed off their feet as a range of expectant mums are all due to give birth at Christmas and the maternity home is packed to the rafters with tricky patients ranging from a lady with high blood pressure to a troubled gangster’s wife.
