Lady Gaga’s Latest Turn, As A Movie Star, Has Inspired Her Most Glamorous Style Streak Yet

The energy at the Venice Film Festival premiere ofA Star Is Born was truly electric. Hundreds of fans were lined up hoping to catch a glimpse of the film’s star Lady Gaga, when a storm moved through the area, bringing thunder and lightning with it. But even the dramatic weather couldn’t put a damper on the crowd’s excitement when Gaga emerged from a black car hand-in-hand with director and costar Bradley Cooper bedecked in a pink-feathered Valentino Haute Couture gown. As she floated down the red carpet in a steady stream of rain, it was clear that this moment wasn’t just about the debut of a movie. It was also the debut of Lady Gaga the movie star. And with her new leading-lady title came one of the best style reinventions of Gaga’s career.

There, in her voluminous plumes, glittering Chopard diamond earrings, glowing makeup and a sleek platinum updo, it was undeniable that the artist who once used fashion as a vehicle to shock and provoke was gone; in her place was a glamorous and elegant actress. “I don’t know that we will ever be able to replicate a moment like that,” her stylist Sandra Amador, who creates Gaga’s dazzling looks with fellow stylist Tom Eerebout, told British Vogue. “It was so intense, exciting, beautiful and surreal at the same time.”
