Suicide threats & depression cast pall over life with Larry

NOT even a fiercely devoted husband could help tragic Naomi Judd overcome the terrible torment of mental illness and ongoing insecurity that drove the country queen to suicide, sources reveal.

Naomi always feared her handsome singer hubby Larry Strickland's head would be turned by another woman since he had a well-earned reputation as a skirt-chaser when they first met, sources tell The National ENQUIRER.

But before they married 33 years ago, the straight-from-the-hip "Mama He's Crazy" beauty gave him an ultimatum, an insider claims: "She told Larry early on, 'If you want to be with me, then you're gonna stop cheating.'"

And once they were married, the insider adds, Larry never even looked at another gal.

"He was hopelessly devoted to her, and she adored him," says the insider.
