Postal secretary Ananta Narayan Nanda had recently stated that “By April, all our systems will be ready. We will start rolling out all India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) branches between May and September.”
With an investment of Rs.1,450 crore, if the proposed plan is completed, IPPB will be the provider of the largest financial inclusion network in India, offering its services to both rural and urban areas with a scope of providing digital payment facilities to even rural household doorsteps using postmen and Grameen Dak Sevaks (GDS).
