Excellence is not an aim but a tradition in this premier institution for commerce education

Mihika Sharma
Ready for Business

ALL LALA SHRI RAM had really wanted to do was create a centre for commerce education in India. But, even by his own imagination, he would have probably been stunned to see that what he started in a hired house in Delhi’s Daryaganj, with all of 12 students, has grown to become India’s premier institution for commerce and economics.

Today, the Shri Ram College of Commerce attracts students from all corners of the country. They come seeking top quality education and highest standards of excellence. The student composition at SRCC is uniform—most set foot here after topping their school, city or state in the 12 boards. The other group of achievers is one that has made a mark in the sporting arena.

SRCC pass outs go places. The academically inclined make it to renowned national and international institutions—IIM, Delhi School of Economics, London School of Economics to name a few. Placement records are enviable, with no top recruiter giving SRCC a miss, from Google, Uber, Deutsche Bank, Citibank to McKinsey.
