THE chemistry between Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx couldn’t have been hotter at his 50th birthday bash. The Oscar-winning actor celebrated with a blowout party at Paramount Studios in L.A. on Dec. 13, where the couple cut loose on the dance floor. “Katie and Jamie were all over each other,” a spy dishes. “They were even kissing!” There was more PDA after an intimate dinner at Hollywood’s Highlight Room, where the duo “leaned in close and stroked each other’s arms,” the source adds. “They were acting like they wanted to announce their relationship to the world!” 

There’s one person, however, who’s not exactly wishing the couple well: Tom Cruise, Katie’s former husband and Jamie’s onetime pal. “Katie is convinced that Tom is trying to derail the relationship,” dishes an insider, who says long-simmering tensions between the exes reached a boiling point after Katie’s recent decision to move into Jamie’s L.A. mansion. “Katie is so fed up that she called Tom and gave him a piece of her mind. She told him he was jealous and controlling, and that she was sick and tired of his meddling in her love life.”
