SELFLESS COP GIVES KIDNEY to veteran after restaurant chat

Chance Meeting Saved A Life!
THE seeds of a miracle were sown at a Cracker Barrel when a police officer struck up a conversation with a man in a Vietnam veteran cap.

The two bonded on the spot — and Lt. John Branson learned Edgar Roberts, then 69, needed a kidney transplant after losing both organs to cancer.

Thirteen months later, in an amazing act of generosity, the Indiana cop donated a kidney to the Georgia preacher — and gave him the gift of life!

“If you can make an impact, a difference this huge in someone’s life, you should be able to do that without question,” said John, a member of the Anderson, Ind., police force.
