As we begin 2017, we at Cook Magazine look back at favorite recipes and destinations of the year that was. While viewing pictures of 2016, I can’t help but be thankful for all the experiences, personal and professional, that made the past year both challenging and fulfilling.

Working for a food magazine means a year filled with cooking and eating. A typical week would mean days spent cooking and testing recipes at our studio kitchen or attending food-related events, trying out new restaurants and writing articles. Once in a while, we get to travel out of town or even outside the country to do more of the same.
After more than 10 years of being with Cook Magazine, I couldn’t have foreseen that after over a hundred issues sent to press, after thousands of recipes tested, after hundreds of articles written and tens of thousands of pictures taken, I’d still be as excited to start another year.

Late last year, we also started Business Mirror Cook Saturday Edition, a pullout section of Business Mirror out every first and third Saturdays of the month. With yet another venue to share our recipes, food and restaurant finds, this time to a new audience, Cook continues broaden its reach in the hopes of sharing our passion for everything food-related.

Join us on our delectable journey in 2017, but in the meantime, enjoy a compilation of our best recipes and finds of the year that was.
