“The world is nothing but a canvas to our imagination,” says Henry David Thoreau, the 19th century American author and poet. Imagination is the core to creativity and knowledge. History has been witnessed of examples of creative imagination which has evolved new ideas, new directions and new trends. Whether it was Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, Newton's discovery of law of gravitation or William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet; be it architectural marvel of the Taj Mahal or first aeroplane by Wright brothers; all were products of creative imagination. The issue features the award winning projects of some imaginative architects and interior designers from the winners of the GLITZ Design Honour-2017; they are all ingeniously designed, meticulously planned and aesthetically outstanding. When a designer loves his work, he can create wonders. His work only inspires him to do better every day. He becomes a self-critique and evaluates his own work to find out his own fault. Such self-retrospection and determination to create masterpiece makes him legendary and memorable. These flawless performers, who are rare on this earth, are respected, appreciated and admired upon throughout the ages and set examples for others. The world salutes them for achieving such excellence. We would like you to draw inspiration from some of the bright, cheery designs featured in this issue. There is a sense of vibrancy in these projects making for happy & playful environment. Love for indigenous materials, environmentally compatible products and contemporary designs define the style of these well-known architects & interior designers. Using materials judiciously yet playfully these architects & designers created spectacular spaces, a landscape where design vocabulary speaks eloquently and the result is simply wow! The trailblazers and pioneers of the architecture & interior design fraternity got felicitated in style at The Neptune GLITZ Design Honour-2017.
