But the place doesn’t just consist of beautiful sceneries but also people trying to make it more beautiful with their art, trying to spread awareness about the place’s art and restore its knowledge among the audience.

In this issue of Jam Today, we walk through the valleys of Spiti, the cold desert where trees are red and the sky is deep blue. It is a place that features beautiful monasteries and a 500-year-old mummy of a monk placed in the Geu village.
In, Dharamshala we meet Sarika Locho, a Thangka painter, whose journey started with the help of the Holiness the Dalai Lama, and now while making art, she becomes one with the deity. Imagine engrossing so much into creating a painting that you become one with the deity, fascinating, isn’t it?

Through the route of Dharamshala, we travel to Palampur and meet Sushant Sankhyan, a muralist who is famously known as ‘Find Me on Walls’ all across Himachal. You can see his presence in most of the walls of cafes and travel vans in the areas of Himachal.
