As the monsoons give respite to the sizzling summer heat, BMW turns up the heat on the entry-level motorcycle space. Despite their somewhat brash pricing, BMW’s G 310 R and especially the G 310 GS have carved out a niche space for themselves. While only time will tell if BMW’s strategy has worked, we saddle up on the new G twins to sample all that they have to offer.
And the motorcycling action doesn’t stop there as we undertake an action-packed adventure on a Ducati Multistrada 1200 S all the way from the National Capital to the breathtakingly serene environs of the Ladakh region. We also try out Triumph’s new Tiger 800 XRx which gets a reworked engine, additional features and minor changes that bring it up to speed with the times.
We step into the future with the four-wheeled kind in this issue as our international partners check out Audi’s upcoming flagship SUV, the Q8, BMW’s next-generation X5 while also sampling the futuristic Mission E that will put Porsche on the map as a full-scale electric car maker by the end of next year.
