It’s that time of year again for Christians when we recall the moment God broke into the history of Humankind and Jesus was born in Bethlehem. In December we celebrate the coming of the Prince of Peace and Fr John Walsh reminds us of this in his Editorial. Mary the mother of Our Lord, who made it all possible, is celebrated in two articles: as the Mother of Divine Providence by Dom Aelred Magee and through the restoration of the statue of Our Lady of The Rosary of Fatima in the Holy Cross Dominican church in Tralee. Our famous convert is Elizabeth Seton, the first American to be canonized a saint, and It Happened this Month looks at a woman who would have been queen of England had it not been for Anti-Catholicism.
