The problem in the homeland layer (laying hens) farm business seems to be over. Like old songs played back, so did the problems faced by farmers. Although the Minister of Trade has issued Regulation of the Minister of Trade No. 58 of 2018 concerning Determination of Reference Prices for Purchases in Farmers and Price of Reference of Sales in Consumers, conditions in the field are different.
After Eid al-Fitr, the price of eggs continues to climb until mid-July. In various traditional markets the price of eggs continues to rise beyond the government farm gate price which is set at Rp. 22,000 per kg at the consumer level. Various problems, such as rising feed prices, falling egg production, and increasing demand are blamed for this phenomenon.
