Kajal attended Danville Park Girls High School from 1998-2002 and matriculated with distinction, receiving the award for Speech and Drama. 

After school, she qualified as a make-up artist and fashion stylist at Face 2 Face Make-Up School. She modeled in the television adverts for Vodacom Beach Africa in 2001 and for their fashion shows from 1999-2003. She also modeled for the NWJ Bridal Fair from 2000-2006.

Clara was born on June 19, 1996, in Madrid, Spain. She studied business and international relations in Madrid, while doing exchange programs in Montreal, Canada, and Mumbai, India. After university, she worked in strategy consulting until she moved to Nairobi, Kenya, to work on social impact projects in agriculture and education. It was when she moved to Kenya in September 2021 that she started learning afro-dance. Soon after, she started sharing her dance and travel journey on social media, inspiring hundreds of thousands of people around the world.

As of now, she has more than 130,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok, and more than 19,000 subscribers on Youtube.
