It is with a great sensation of pride that we publish our 100th issue. 

Since our inaugural issue so long ago, we have strived to continuously cover the issues that matter to golfers in Vietnam.

We don’t claim to be perfect and would also dearly love to improve, so to mark our anniversary we invited some of our closest friends to give their opinions on how well we’ve achieved our goals.

Safe to say that an integral part of our insider coverage of Vietnam’s golf industry comes from our longest serving columnist, Robert Bicknell. He’s been with us since day one and we sincerely hope that he will continue to offer insights, lively debate and stylish writing for another century of Chipshot columns.

As part of our mission to bring readers the topics that are relevant to them, as usual this issue is packed full of info on accessories, equipment and apparell available to golfers in Vietnam.

Of course the wider game is relevant too, so as always, we’ve dedicated space to the world’s biggest golf tournaments - this month being Martin Kaymer’s record-breaking victory at the US Open. The German’s second Major saw him continue European dominance of the competition and break records left, right and centre.

Who knows, maybe in another 100 issues we’ll be talking about Vietnamese golfers at these very same tournaments?

This month we take a swing at the sensitive issue of golf etiquette on Vietnam’s greens and ask if more can be done to ensure the rights of all golfers are respected when we play the beautiful game. 
Robert Bicknell chips in with his thoughts, as do our expert panel of enthusiasts. The results are revealing. 
 Rory McIlroy was on his best behavior to clinch his first Open Championship and third major title with a two-shot victory over Sergio Garcia and Rickie Fowler in a thrilling final day at Hoylake. 
For Garcia, it was a third runner-up finish in a major and a 19th top 10, while Fowler recorded his third top-five in this year's majors after finishing fifth at the Masters.
Jon Tomlinson, General Director of Montgomerie Links Golf Course, was also in top form talking about the potential and challenges of Vietnam’s golf development as well as operations at Montgomerie Links. We learn that Golf Coast Vietnam and the game’s development in general are making great strides, but more work is needed for the country realize its true golfing potential.
We also take our usual look at the latest hot trends and golfing lifestyle attractions, including the new Sky36 bar in Danang.
