March comes when every available space is full of flowers’ scents and lush green plants. It comes dripping rain, with white cherry-apricot blossoms, the murmur of green pine forests, and pure water sparkling under the first rays of the sun.
I take a bus to the city’s suburb in the early morning. The bus is full of sleepy passengers leaning their head near the windows. The bus slowly runs along the familiar road, passing through familiar people. Some boys are playing marbles in front of their house, trying to catch the running spheres which glint in the light of the day’s sun. A girl wearing áo bà ba (traditional shirt) is preparing tea before visiting an old village. A Korean friend wearing nón lá (Vietnamese conical hat) is buying tea, busy with his phone. 
My girlfriend says she loves saving her trips by photos. The photos are not used to showcase where she has visited or who she has met. Rather they’re for her personal use. In her free time she opens her online dairy, goes through the photos and reminisces upon all the great memories during her trips.
In my camera, March is beautiful. It retains the purity of spring but is tinted with a bit of the playfulness of summer. In my photos, a little girl standing on chair finds her March in little red Antigone flowers. Meanwhile, a farmer working in the plateau finds his March on hills covered with white coffee flowers.
And, where is your March?

I often save the air tickets of every trip I have taken with my friends and family. Sometimes, when looking at each of them, I feel like all the emotion and memories are kept inside the small piece of paper.
In my latest journey, my companions were the two little kids, Amy and Alex, travelling with their mother. It was amazing as I as was able to stay awake for hours during the flight, eagerly listening to the adventures of these little travelers. Among their stories, the one about globe impressed me the most. When they were asking their mom where they will go the next time, she just gave them the small globe, smiled, and let Amy point at one of the place on it. Amy and Alex were so excited, screaming with glee when their mom told them about the next place. The kids together made a plan to save money, and prepare for their next trip. From time to time, the family had traveled around the world with that globe. They showed me that no matter where we go, one should plan their voyage with love so as to make every trip into an exciting page of life’s book. The book of my life is marked with the air tickets I have collected over the years and the memories attached to each of them. 
It has been said that life is a journey, not a destination. The purpose then, is to travel to new places, experience and learn new things, relax after working days, or to find yourself, your passion and love. Have you got your next journey planned?

Tet is coming to town. When coming across some advertisement about the latest editions of lucky money envelopes, I suddenly miss my Tet in the past – all in the small lovely reds envelopes.
Tet is always the time for gathering and sharing love, bánh chưng, delicious dishes, and spring journeys to ask for good blessings. But for small kids like me years ago, Tet is simply the time to receive lucky envelopes from grandparents and parents, the feeling of reaching a new age, and the happiness of buying new things. As long as we are kids, we will get lucky money. The red envelopes are the evidence that we are still young and beloved.

Now, I am an adult and giving red envelopes have become a way for me to share love, wishing health for my parents and a wonderful year for family and friends. However, instead of giving money, I love surprising my loved ones when opening the red envelopes. A flight ticket for a warm spring trip is a great choice this new year!

Christmas is coming with the Jingle Bell’s song played at every corner of the capital. In the early morning, I walk to the post office, holding some handmade cards filled with sweet wishes for my loved ones. Christmas is always the best time to spread love and I feel like a young child waiting for it.
People wait in long lines at the post office. I join the line, waiting for my turn to send some postcards abroad. In front of me are two cute boys nestling behind their mother. The younger one, about 9 years old, is telling his brother “Santa Claus will give gifts to me because I am nicer than you. You haven’t prepared gifts for dad, not to mention that your letter doesn’t have a stamp on it.”
The little boy loses his train of thought, holding his letter higher to see where the stamp is. He keeps it for a while that I see his lovely writing “To my bearded dad”. Perhaps, the stamp has been lost somewhere on the way here or his mother forgot to stick it on his letter. “Hey boy, it’s for you”, I put my hand in my pocket, found a stamp and gave it to the boy. The two boys looked at me and hesitantly took it after their mother nodded to them. They expressed their gratitude and smiled happily, knowing that their letters would be delivered to their beloved dad.
Leaving the post office, I still hope that their father could come home to celebrated Christmas with his family. After all, the most valued Christmas gifts are sharing moments with friends and family.

My two little nieces are giggling with each other, building their “old” snowman. However severe winter is, it brings something miraculous to little kids. They are excited to go around, showing off their colorful new winter clothes. They look like pretty bears with the wool gloves and hat that their grandmother knitted for them. And the happiness of an adult like me is watching them and seeing enjoyment sparkle in their eyes. 
I love curling up in a small corner of Hanoi, sipping a cup of hot chocolate with sweet marshmallow. Just a sip can warm up your entire winter. This winter, my family is travelling to a foreign country in which winter is far different from that in Hanoi. Outside the hotel, where my children are playing, snow has already covered the entire roof, putting its white coat on the land, trees, and fields. And who doesn’t love snow? But suddenly I miss my Hanoi with bitter winds which usually chill while I am strolling down narrow streets.
Losing my train of thoughts, when I look back, the children have finished their snowman and start playing with snowflakes in various shapes. I just relax and silently take in the winter far from home.

Friday afternoon, I’m going home after a busy week with tons of deadlines and articles from our contributors. A few stairs are long enough to make me tired. I’m trying to climb step by step. Suddenly, I catch the scent of baked cakes in the air. Yeah, that is Joseph. This enchanting scent must come from the kitchen of the “conjurer”, Joseph!
All my weariness seems to disappear. I run quickly up the last stairs, calling out loud “Uncle Joseph”. Upon coming in, I hug him from his back. Wow, the sweet smell of cream cheese is still lingering on his hair.
“The conjurer of cakes” is the nickname I have given Joseph, an old member of my family. Thanks to his career and hobbies, he has had chances to travel around the world. He has cooked the delicious dishes he has learned on his travels since I was a little girl. He also tells me how he “met” those dishes. I usually enjoy the dishes while listening to his endless exciting stories. No matter how mature I am, his dishes and culinary stories are always miraculous.
Now, we are preparing the last plates for our dinner today while happily telling funny stories. This time, he is the listener as I’m sharing with him my recipes and my passion for cooking. Actually, in that busy life, what could be more important than the excitement we have whenever enjoying or cooking scrumptious dishes?

In a late afternoon in the early autumn, I’m standing at the balcony overlooking the playground of my apartment building. Children are excited to go outside after a heavy rain. Some boys are noisily fighting to catch a plastic ball. Under the shade of trees, my daughter and her friends are drawing strange images on the stone chairs with a pen of tree’s branch dripping with water.
The space is noisy yet peaceful.
Autumn comes and brings with it a lot of expectations such as milk flowers in every corner or green young rice for delicious dishes. Some people are complaining that their skin is getting drier despite cool weather. Children are eager to meet their friends after a long summer holiday, participate in outdoor activities on the weekend, or gather and make crazy things at one’s house while their parents are worried about their workload. Who will take care of the kids, take them to school, contact with teachers, help them with homework, and clean the messes they make?
You see, whether or not autumn is wonderful depends on our mood. While reading this letter, perhaps, you are a bit busy preparing for a new business trip or getting tired of work. But spend a few minutes this autumn to take up some intriguing things, letting the autumn winds help you find out your own tranquility!

After graduated from university, I stayed with Sue in an old apartment building which had been restored several times to meet the demand of inhabitants. Stretching about 500m, the building consists of 6 floors. To make it more convenient, the building’s owners built stairs from its two sides. And… that was why the love story I’m telling you began.
After two months staying with Sue, I figured out that Sue loved Martin. Sue’s apartment is next to Martin’s one. However, Sue always uses the stairs in the left while Martin uses the right one. They met each other the first time in Dalat, accidentally knew that they had been living in the same building for years, and fell in love! 
One day, Sue decided to study in USA and the only message she gave me was “Take care of Martin for me”. 
Two years passed, Sue came back and Martin was still there waiting for her. Sometimes, I heard that they were planning to stay under the same roof. But suddenly, Martin went to Germany leaving only short massage “If Sue loves someone else, it’s your fault!”
It is late summer in Hanoi. Martin has just called me to invite me to their wedding in Dalat. The wedding with only family and closed friends will take place in Dalat. Their 8-year love story in the building with the two stairs takes a new step. They are no longer separated from distance but happy together in a sweet wedding.

My grandfather often took me to school in the mornings when I was a little girl. We usually left earlier and stopped by a bakery near my school. He ordered cakes and milk for me while choosing a cup of black coffee with filter for him. When eating my food, I loved counting the drops of coffee falling down through the filter, wondering how they tasted. Once, when my grandfather was buying a magazine, I surreptitiously dipped a finger in the cup of coffee. Bitter! It was the first time I tasted it and couldn’t understand why the drink that many adults love was so bitter. That time I felt like I would never like coffee.

The bustling city with thousands of glass and concrete walls surrounding all offices makes me tired, hoping there is something push me up each morning like a string that wind up a clock. No matter how hustle the life is, I know if we’re just lazy all days, success and achievements will never come to us since there is no such thing as a free lunch. If we don’t join the high-speed wheel of life, trying our best, we will be stagnant in our room and that bustling world will forget us soon. Someday, you and I will wonder which cog we are in the life wheel.

When I was 18 years old, I got a lovesick since my boyfriend at high school loved another girl upon studying at university. The 18-year-old girl that time considered her health nothing, not eating for days. I locked myself in my room, and even got angry with my parents.
