Our Entertainment and Community sections both involve ESPN – first in the form of their 2015 ESPY Awards…and secondly on the fairways and greens via the ESPY Celebrity Golf Classic.

If you are one of us who are constantly on the go and burning the oil into late hours…and have well-meaning friends who tell you that you must catch up on your sleep…then health coaches Michele Periquet and Firouze Zeroual are here to pull up the covers. Oh my Lord we went just about everywhere this month covering Sport. From the exhibition game played locally between FC Barcelona and Manchester United to the Indy Series ABC Wisconsin 250 to Serena William’s triumph at Wimbledon and MotoGP racing. We even took in a Home Run Derby held in Cincinnati sponsored by Gillette.

Pulling up our sagging knee socks we sat down with San Fancisco Giant’s pitcher Jeremy Affeldt for a heart-felt interview and also spoke off-track with driver João Barbosa about endurance auto racing. It takes a team…in both instances.

In completing our rounds, we chatted with the legendary group Earth, Wind and Fire prior to their performance in San Jose and want to share one of our after-hours reads - The City of Palaces by Michael Nava – about pre-revolutionary Mexico. My lineage runs through that era so his story was of special interest to me.

As I “Save-As” and ship this missive off to Cheryl for final corrections, I hope you find something of interest in this month’s effort and continue to follow (and read) us in the future.
