多年來科學家一直相信,腦中的不同區塊在掌控我們的各種情緒,也就是說,每種情緒都有對應的腦中迴路,會在某些情況下啟動,其中最有名的大概是被視為恐懼迴路的杏仁核。不過,新近的神經科學研究越來越不支持上述傳統觀點,主要原因是證據薄弱,例如沒有杏仁核的人也會感到恐懼,以及杏仁核還參與其他心智功能,包括思考、記憶、同理心等等,所以你很難再說情緒擁有自己的迴路。那麼,情緒到底從何而來?<br> 透過先進的腦部造影技術,科學家發現,情緒或許來自大腦根據生理狀況、身處情境以及過往經驗所做的預測。若真如此,我們將能透過一些方法,來打造正面的情緒(P.28)。<br> 說到轉換心情,看看「萌照」大概是現代人最不費力的選擇。平常生活在高原上、不易被一般人觀察到的兔猻,隨著部分成員入住動物園,其可愛模樣便在網路幫助下廣為周知,甚至成了招攬遊客的明星動物。不過我們對這種「短腿胖貓」嚴峻的野外生活,其實所知甚少,一起來看看BBC 自然史節目製作人的新紀錄(P.84)。
