After months of tastings done incognito by our esteemed panel comprising veteran food writers and editors, sommeliers and industry leaders, we are proud to present you with Singapore’s Top Restaurants 2019/2020 - Now into its 22nd year, our annual dining guide continues to celebrate the vibrancy of our city’s culinary landscape by recognising exceptional dining experiences delivered by top restaurants in Singapore. Despite mounting challenges faced by chefs and restaurateurs including manpower shortage and rising rents, we are proud to share that the top restaurants on our sunny shores have continued to raise the bar on all fronts: service, quality of food, creativity and concept. In the following pages, we unveil our award winners—we selected 87 noteworthy restaurants this year, one of our longest lists to date. The decisions were not taken lightly. We spent weeks discussing and mulling the nominees over and over, and we stand behind them all. This is in addition to the 200-plus restaurant reviews that we have put together to inspire you to go out there and explore our diverse dining scene. Lastly, this book is not just a compilation of the top restaurants in town; it is also a celebration of the people behind them.
