For Men’s Folio — in a cup half-full context — 2020 was a year of tremendous growth. Staying at home, working from home and being a local tourist have made Singaporeans look inwards more than ever. Our “Made in Singapore” brand has witnessed a spike in dialogues between our local talents and the Singaporean audience.

Men’s Folio has also expanded by lengths this year — not only has the title featured wide ranging entertainment and arts while bringing focus to any career man, it also brought women into the conversation for the first time. Naturally, the mandate is to continue challenging normative assumptions of Asian talents across different cultures.

This year, menswear encountered a minor setback in its burgeoning renaissance that paved way for more collaborations across brands, with fashion houses expanding into menswear and more participation towards Pre-Collections. In the wake of an economic decline, menswear curled back into its conservative roots with a focus on modernity while moving in tandem with the sustainability movement — which Men’s Folio has strongly advocated for by encouraging readers to buy intentionally and purposefully.

Therefore, the Men’s Folio team has decided to make the Dec/Jan ’21 Festive issue into an entire book of celebratory ideas — 60, to be exact — for the end of 2020 and for one to be well-prepared for 2021. For easy reference, The Festive Issue has been concisely dissected into four overarching themes — Fashion, Time, Grooming and Lifestyle.

Most importantly, these 60 ideas present outlooks supported by Men’s Folio — style directions, the functionality of a watch beyond a time-telling instrument, minimalistic grooming upkeeps and living the best life beyond “trends”. The team has also slipped in little nuggets of wisdom on living and thriving authentically.

This Festive issue is definitely one to collect for the road — an amalgamation of timeless ideas that will remain relevant
for years to come.
