Men's Folio recent move into more native campaigns served as essential preconditions for this September ’20 Knockout issue — aesthetically-refreshed manifold and the topics covered are more inclusive yet in-depth.

At Men’s Folio, there is no singular definition for being an Asian talent. It is tantamount for every feature we work on to be racially diverse — through the various spreads and the personalities we worked with in the “Features Profiles” section. Digital editor, Bryan Goh even worked on a grooming Fall/Winter ’20 report on page 118, featuring a diverse cast to highlight each individual’s unique needs.

To that extent, the Men’s Folio focus on talent is also multifold. From international Asian celebrities — iKON Bobby on the cover story (page 66) — to local highlights spanning professional athletes (page 62), successful career men (page 60) and the creative arena (dancers on page 30), Men’s Folio has never dimmed the light on men who give their best at what they do and will continue to be here to celebrate every success in their journey.

Hence, like the theme explicitly mentions, this is perhaps the most Knockout September issue. The Men’s Folio team has stretched our limits to bring you a relevant and comprehensive Fall/Winter ’20 trend report akin to unearthing a time capsule (on page 34), new releases of watches with a small visually stunning detail (page 48), 50 pages of fashion visuals (from page 76) and an array of lifestyle features — the one dish to keep coming back for (page 134), spirits for one’s own home bar (page 136) and a physical and wellness guide by EVOLVE Fight Team athlete Amir Khan (page 138).

The Men’s Folio team’s belief, passion and love for our DNA share sentiments with contributor, Fang Wei Low’s feelings towards shophouse conversation (page 58) — “My muse, she not only inspires me to reimagine how Singapore can be, but also grounds me within my community.”
