El reporte anual The Global Competitiveness Report 2016-2017 elaborado por el Foro Económico Mundial, ubicó a la economía mexicana en la posición 51 de entre 138 países en competitividad; si solo consideramos infraestructura somos el número 57, pero si ponemos la lente en la calidad de este sector el país cae a la posición 69.

A lo largo de los últimos 16 o 17 años han predominado dos tendencias en el crédito hipotecario que otorga la banca: una baja constante en sus tasas de interés y el crecimiento sostenido en su colocación. La primera de ellas se ha visto interrumpida debido a las condiciones financieras internacionales y locales. Desde el año pasado las tasas tocaron piso, y estamos justo en el momento donde se empieza a observar una moderada corrección a la alza. No es un cambio de tendencia pero, al parecer es poco probable que continúen las bajas.
