Las historias que en estas páginas hemos publicado son las de aquellas personas, grupos, organizaciones y hasta animales de compañía que realizan lo que el mundo justamente necesita: tomar acciones concretas para encontrar soluciones.

En CAMBIO decidimos hacer un pequeño homenaje a aquel hombre que peleó hasta la muerte por un mundo donde todos seamos tratados como iguales porque, no lo olvidemos, todos somos personas. También te hablamos de cómo, afortunadamente, hay gente en todo el mundo que lo único que quieren es acabar con estas diferencias.

Esta edición está dedicada a los parques. Un espacio público en el que verás muchas sonrisas, porque ahí, niños, niñas, adolescentes y uno que otro adulto olvidan el mundo real por jugar.  Lo mismo suele ocurrir en los parques de diversiones.

En CAMBIO también tenemos deseos y propósitos, por ello, en esta ocasión decidimos hablar de aquellos temas que tanto nos interesan y que, aunque no lo creas, nuestro equipo está sumamente comprometido en presentarlos. Por ello, en esta ocasión invitamos a nuestros colaboradores a hablar de sus propósitos.

Aún hay gente que está dispuesta a poner su granito de arena para revertir el deterioro del mundo, y de ser posible evitar que acabemos con nuestros árboles, nuestros mares, nuestros animales.  Como ya es una tradición en CAMBIO, hicimos un recuento de aquellas personas que trabajan día a día

La decisión de abandonar el hogar propio es siempre extrema y, con demasiada frecuencia, supone el comienzo de un viaje peligroso e incluso a veces funesto. Por ello es que en esta edición, en la revista CAMBIO salimos a buscar historias de personas a quienes las condiciones de vida en sus naciones las obligaron a dejar los países que las vieron crecer.

La Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos es un compromiso suscrito por todos los Estados, México incluido, y como tal, el gobierno está obligado a cumplirlo, aunque, si lo pensamos bien, los derechos humanos son demasiado importantes como para dejarlos únicamente en manos de las autoridades, por ello, en esta edición te contamos cómo está nuestro país en la materia (te damos un pequeño adelanto: las cosas no pintan muy bien).

En 1992 se decretó el 3 de diciembre como el Día Internacional de las Personas con Discapacidad, con el fin de promover sus derechos; y es que la también llamada “minoría más amplia del mundo” es la que menos oportunidades económicas tiene, además de que cuenta con el peor acceso a la educación y las tasas de pobreza más altas; esto por la falta de servicios que le faciliten la vida, y porque tiene menos recursos con qué defender sus derechos.

En esta edición, CAMBIO buscó en varios libros y encontró que desde tiempos memorables las mujeres se han organizado, juntas, para denunciar y exigir igualdad de derechos.

El consumo de drogas y sustancias en los últimos años se ha convertido en uno de los problemas de salud pública de mayor relevancia debido a las consecuencias sanitarias y sociales que experimentan quienes las consumen, pero la mayoría son social y legalmente aceptadas...

Llegó la semana donde millones de mexicanos salen a comprar ante las atractivas ofertas, pero ¿qué te parece hacer compras más conscientes y responsables?

En CAMBIO decidimos darle voz a personas que están trabajando para hacer del diseño y el urbanismo una forma de vida con qué mejorar nuestro día a día; como en Europa, donde arquitectos han trabajado con el objetivo de crear espacios que les generen confort a personas que se encuentren en circunstancias muy difíciles.

No hay una fiesta que se haya adaptado más al siglo XXI que la del Día de Muertos. Tenemos un desfile donde la principal atracción es la utilería de una película de Hollywood. El mundo entero conoció más de esta costumbre por una película de Disney -Pixar, y podemos enumerar nuevos elementos que se le han añadido a esta celebración; y no está mal, porque de seguir con el origen de esta, habría aún sacrificios humanos y nos comeríamos los corazones de las personas.

Esta edición de CAMBIO la dedicamos a esa comida que tanto nos gusta y que está llena de mitos, como que el hecho de comer diario fuera de casa hará que engordes. Fuimos con una especialista que nos aclaró que el menos culpable de que estés a punto de dar el botonazo es la comida de la calle.

El Festival Internacional de Cine Documental de la Ciudad de México, mejor conocido como DocsMX, surgió como una propuesta para darle el valor que se merece al cine de no ficción, un género que permite nuevas formas y ampliar y aprehender distintos contextos sociales, políticos e históricos. Justo por la filosofía de este evento –los documentales pueden contribuir a un cambio social– es que en CAMBIO decidimos darle voz a las personas que hacen de este festival un verdadero agasajo audiovisual.

Los humanos no estamos haciendo mucho con el objetivo de conservar las especies silvestres. Muchos animales urbanos han modificado su comportamiento para adaptarse a entornos donde hay contaminación acústica y lumínica. Sí, ellos han tenido que adaptarse porque nosotros seguimos invadiendo su hábitat.

El panorama laboral a nivel mundial es poco alentador. Desde 2008 –hace 10 años– la Confederación Sindical Internacional celebra cada 7 de octubre la Jornada Mundial por el Trabajo Decente, una actividad que respalda la Organización Internacional del Trabajo (OIT), y este año el tema será “Cambiar las reglas”, para garantizar que las personas puedan vivir con dignidad en un planeta sostenible.

Esta edición está dedicada a esos pulmones de las grandes metrópolis que permiten a sus ciudadanos, animales y plantas seguir viviendo. En la CDMX, la recuperación de bosques como el de Chapultepec y el de Aragón, ha significado una invaluable aportación de servicios socioambientales que bien vale la pena ser difundida y explorada.

Lo cierto es que la vida sigue y el tiempo no se detiene, por eso, a un año de distancia del sismo que nos cimbró la vida a millones de personas, esta edición especial es una invitación a reflexionar sobre cuáles fueron las lecciones que aprendimos –y las que nos quedan por delante– de la tragedia.

Esta profesión es tan importante para el mundo que ya existe un día para festejarla: El Día de los Programadores Informáticos, y se celebra el 256 día de cada año, esto es, el 13 de septiembre durante los años normales y el 12 durante los bisiestos. Es una fecha cuyo propósito consiste en homenajear y agasajar a los trabajadores de sistemas, incluso es festivo profesional en algunos países.

La educación sexual no debería enfocarse en el miedo. Nadie –en la escuela y a veces tampoco en casa– nos habla de la sexualidad como una natural y hermosa manera de conocer el placer, de demostrar afecto y emociones de manera consensual. Nadie nos habla de cuidar al otro o de la responsabilidad emocional que conlleva un encuentro sexual. La educación sexual que recibimos es pobre porque se ha mantenido aislada de la educación emocional.

Las y los jóvenes llegamos a la vida laboral sin saber prácticamente nada en temas como ahorro, inversión o endeudamiento, entonces ¿qué es lo único que sabemos sobre el dinero? ¡Pues gastar! Y es que sólo nos quedamos con la información que recibimos de familiares y amigos o de los golpes que nos da la vida.

Y justo esta semana en la Revista Cambio decidimos mezclar el amor y el Internet, pues resulta que en agosto –el 19, para ser exactos– se conmemora otro día internacional: el del amante clandestino. ¿Hay una combinación más explosiva que los amores prohibidos y la red?

Esta semana en CAMBIO proponemos abrir un diálogo y una reflexión en torno a cómo podemos ser más resilientes e inspirarnos en quienes ya han tomado ese camino ante un contexto no necesariamente color de rosa.

¿Qué hacemos entonces? ¡Paren el mundo que nos queremos bajar! No podemos instalarnos en mood Mafalda y deprimirnos, por ello en esta edición compartimos contigo algunas historias inspiradoras de ciudadanos, organizaciones y empresas que ya están haciendo algo concreto y muy tangible para que salvar la vida en los mares no se limite a dejar de pedir popotes en tus cocteles.

Para las y los jóvenes del 2018 puede ser mucho más frustrante no haber viajado fuera de su país que no tener un departamento, no haberse casado o no haber tenido hijos antes de los 35 años. Viajar se nos ha convertido en un estilo de vida aspiracional, pero lo cierto es que no cualquiera puede dejar todo atrás, tomar una mochila y colgarla en su espalda con el fin de romper con todos sus apegos y manías sedentarias.

¿Por qué no empezamos a diseñar ciudades centradas en la experiencia de las personas que las habitan y transitan? ¿Cómo podemos aspirar a ser felices en las calles por donde no podemos caminar sin miedo? Queremos reducir la violencia con policías, pero dejamos de lado en las asignaciones presupuestales el diseño urbano, el espacio público y la movilidad integral. Algo no cuadra.

El emprendimiento verde o ambiental se caracteriza por crear productos y servicios que ayuden a las personas a reducir su huella ambiental. Un emprendimiento puede ser ambiental o ecofriendly en muy diversos sectores, desde la energía, la moda, el reciclaje, el agua, la alimentación, hasta la prestación de servicios o la movilidad.

Hoy las cosas han cambiado. Esos niños que tal vez fueron reprimidos, limitados y hasta castigados por pasar demasiadas horas jugando videojuegos hoy son adultos, y no sólo siguen jugando, se han convertido en creadores de tecnología, así le demuestran al mundo entero que el impacto de los gadgets, las pantallas, las computadoras y los arduinos puede ir mucho más allá del simple entretenimiento.

Esta edición está enfocada en buscar alternativas saludables para que, con nuevos hábitos, podamos reconciliarnos con los dulces placeres con moderación y, de alguna manera, con una estrategia con la cual tener una mejor calidad de vida.

Pero estamos en el 2018, el pasado quedó atrás, ¿te sientes desanimado?, ¿la apatía te invade?, ¿te parece más sexy un domingo de Netflix & chill que formarte para elegir a tus próximos gobernantes? No te culpamos. De hecho debemos confesar que nos sentíamos casi igual, y justo eso fue el resorte que nos impulsó a investigar y tratar de entender por qué nos generaba bostezos deletrear la palabra p-o-l-í-t-i-c-a.
