Magazine Description

In this issue

2015 signals the dawn of a new era for the team at WGM. Having celebrated our fifth anniversary in Macau since launching in late 2009, we welcome the New Year with our biggest ever issue at a whopping 136 pages! We have also made a number of changes to the look and feel of our magazine with a brand new logo plus a new, high quality matt finish and shiny gold stamping on our front cover! It’s certainly an exciting way to kick off 2015. Our cover story this issue reflects WGM’s growing reputation in Macau as we are granted a rare opportunity to speak with the usually media-shy boss of Macau’s biggest junket group in Suncity, Alvin Chau. Mr Chau speaks openly about his company, the changes they have gone through over the years, their ambitions for the future and why his staff love working for him. There is plenty for poker fans to enjoy in this issue too with an extensive interview with veteran player and renowned World Poker Tour commentator Mike Sexton, as well as comprehensive reviews of the WSOP’s November Nine, WPT National Philippines and of course Macau’s Asia Championship of Poker. In sport, we take an in-depth look at the upcoming cricket World Cup in Australia and prove our insights into betting on this huge global sporting event, while our football guru Leanne Lu explores the growing influence of technology in world football. And we take a closer look at the finer points of Macau as we review Michelin-starred French restaurant The Tasting Room at City of Dreams, announce the winner of our Model Search II competition and bring you all the celebrity goes in our regular Out and About in Macau section.
