This month, we’re trying to take some time to revel in the imperfections - the extra bit of chocolate biscuit pudding we shouldn’t have had but definitely deserved, the hair that’s just a bit too frizzy thanks to a bleach job gone wrong, the bank account statement that glares balefully back at us.
In the spirit of honesty, we’re looking at real women and real feels with our cover girl Nicole Scherzinger — her raw truths and her tough journey to starhood. We also discuss the pros and cons of being furry in Sri Lanka, and concluded that being a hairless and sleek baby seal isn’t always worth the effort.
Because this month (and hopefully every month from now on) is about being kinder to ourselves. After all, as Bossypants author and all-round HBIC Tina Fey once said, “Perfect is boring, perfect is overrated.” So, join us on this strange and spotty journey of bad days; let the mistakes flow like cheap mascara in one of our crazy inter-monsoons; and let the tropical cocktails flow like it’s your birthday.
