No matter where you are in the world, women are statements of enthusiasm. They are one with nature, giving rise to life and constantly striving to improve their surrounding, image, outlook, perspective and anything that says better living. As women in Kenya strive for equality, it is important that we understand the journey that those who went before us have had to overcome. Tumultuous strife, going against what was thought of as acceptable, stepping out of their comfort zone so that their daughters in posterity would have a better life and overcome lesser struggles. This is taking root – slowly and there’s better awareness today than a few years ago. So feel encouraged, hold on to this worthwhile journey with the hope that in the near future, more paths will be cleared and step out into the world knowing what it means to be a woman of substance.
