Inner peace is a journey, not a destination. And, through our magazine, we want to start a journey for everyone to find inner peace. It is also our team’s journey to learn and share experiences and teachings with everyone. We want to create a concourse through which we can inspire everyone.

Experts from various fields have generously contributed their knowledge in this issue – Susannah Mohan, Communication Director at Norbulingka Institute gave an insightful article on Tibetan art forms; Dietician Karishma Arora lists the various benefits of pulses; Physiotherapist Gouri Godase tells us how naturopathy could help in combating stress: and the insightful teaching of pure dhamma by Shri Satya Narayan Goenka, who was popularly known as S.N. Goenka. We hope to bring more such words of wisdom in our forthcoming issues as well.

In today’s busy life, almost no one is free from stress. It has become our ‘indispensable friend’. We are often faced with situations that are completely out of our control, which invariably presses our panic button. It harms our mental and physical health, as we become stressed-out and are unable to come out of our troubles. In this issues’ cover story we focus on how to better manage stress for a quality life. A major cause of stress is relationship issues. In Dhammapada, we ponder over the point whether divorces can be less bitter? As we recently celebrated International Yoga Day, we bring to you some glimpses of the celebrations worldwide. Our Art section provides a kaleidoscope on the life of Kumarajiva, the man who translated the Lotus Sutra, while we have a special story on father and child relationship in the Mind and Body section. Courage is an essence of human life. Whether one is going through a problem or embarking on a new journey, courage forms the basis to take that first step forward. In this month’s issue, our cover story focuses on this essential concept of courage. Enlightenment is an ongoing inner revolution which helps to understand our true self. Being the month of Buddha’s enlightenment, in this issue we focused on the core theme of enlightenment, starting the journey into the inner-self, and explored prominent places associated with Buddha’s enlightenment. The art section presents a collage of beautiful paintings by artists Kappari Kishan and Goutam Ghosh. After six months of research, brainstorming and hard work, we are happy to launch the inaugural issue of WisdomWinds, a monthly magazine that aims to promote conscious living and Buddhist philosophy. The eternal teachings of the Buddha, which are relevant for all generations, have been compiled and curated as art in printed format in WisdomWinds magazine. Considering all of us as Buddhas, WisdomWinds magazine has a vision to spread Buddha’s words through his teachings, sites and articles.
