The Cover Story titled, 'The Global Air Pollution Problem', highlights that China will host the global World Environment Day (WED) celebrations on June 5, 2019, with ‘air pollution’ as the theme. With this background, the author discusses the problem of air pollution globally while hoping that the valiant efforts of governments around the world will show positive results in the coming years enabling a pollution-free environment for everybody.

In the Feature article titled, 'BEST: Key to Mobility and Air Quality Solutions in Mumbai ' the author accounts for the risks that have relegated the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking buses to an archaic past leading to Mumbai, India’s financial capital, facing the danger of being steeped in air pollutants emitted by private transport vehicles. The author argues that one of the major steps could be to expand public bus services to combat increasing air pollution caused by growing private motor vehicles in Mumbai.

In the Special Report titled, ‘The National Waterways Act of India: Challenges and Opportunities' the authors discuss issues and concerns of inland navigation and river transportation in India, specifically focusing on the issues related to river quality and ecology, resulting from the implementation of the National Waterways Act, 2016. They also explore certain policy recommendations, citing examples from other countries where successful measures have allowed a sustainable use of inland waterway transport.
