The November 2023 issue of The STAT Trade Times invites your attention to the air cargo industry of Singapore as it is all set to host the first-ever edition of air cargo Southeast Asia. The July 2023 issue of The STAT Trade Times is an attempt to draw your attention towards the air cargo market of North America with its Cover Story. The market is in a state of correction as capacity aided by the increase in long haul widebody, outstrip demand. Analyses are showing a fall in demand while passenger travel is increasing, thereby increasing the belly capacity.  

The Industry Report is about the ACMI market that is continuing to grow as all leading players continue to be bullish on the outlook, and reiterate that political uncertainty has no role to play in the business.

The March 2023 issue of The STAT Trade Times is dedicated to International Women's Day celebrated this month. For decades, women have had a significant impact on the air cargo industry, breaking barriers and making substantial contributions to the industry and the Cover Story tells the journey of how the sector is becoming more diverse and inclusive as more women enter the workforce and advance through the ranks.

The Covid-19 pandemic is still having an impact on the air cargo business, but there is still potential for growth. The STAT Times Times - December 2022 issue

Today, sustainability has moved to the forefront of the business agenda, putting further pressure on the aviation sector and its environmental performance. The STAT Trade Times September 2022 issue

The September 2022 issue of The STAT Trade Times has the cover story on ULDs that tried exposing some of the challenges in the industry and recommend solutions for them. 

It has two Special Reports. The first one talks about why supply chain resiliency is so critical to temp-controlled pharma logistics and how tech tools are bringing value. While the second one notes how reduced human error with great cost savings and risk reduction offered by digital processes have caught on in air cargo.

In the Industry Report, we write about how the air cargo charter business has attained normalcy. The space has a lot of challenges abound but it is also attracting new players. 

We have put Focus on two airports from the cargo perspective. Chicago Rockford International Airport is already on track to break the record for cargo volume handled at the airport in 2022, while Philadelphia International Airport is investing big to build infra to increase revenue from cargo operations considerably.

The STAT Trade Times – August 2022 

With the live animal transport sector still reeling in the wake of the pandemic and the geopolitical crisis, in the cover story in this issue we take a glimpse into how cargo carriers stayed afloat. Battling against the ongoing crises, the sector tackled outbreaks, illegal trade and safety concerns. Cargo operators and regulators, however, remain optimistic, stating that animal welfare remained key. 

We have two special reports. In the first one, we look at how a global crunch in aviation workers has hit air cargo momentum and the report finds that the impact is very visible across the globe as full capacity returns. The second one focuses on why air cargo community systems are more important now than ever before.

 In the interview we get Andres Bianchi, CEO, LATAM Cargo, speak to us. In the focus we put Swissport which is working hard to create a Swissport formula in cargo handling under the new chief executive Warwick Brady. We also have a report on how rapidly growing ecommerce cargo volume is becoming the fundamental driver for increasing demand for passenger to freighter converted aircraft.

In this issue of The STAT Trade Times, Manjula Nair brings the focus to the Asian air cargo with her Cover Story. “With the Russia-Ukraine crisis and yet another onslaught of a tsunami-level Omicron tidal sweep, Asian air cargo markets were ricked by volatility and are yet to stabilise as market conditions remain fraught with many an ongoing crisis,” he writes. 

Freight carried across Indian airports increased 27% to over 3 million tonnes in FY2022 compared to 2.5 million tonnes in 2021. Target is 10 million tonnes by 2030. Jyothi Shankaran writes about what are the challenges in his country report.  

Lakshmi Ajay writes about ‘Tech’tonic shifts in air cargo industry highlighting the adoption of digital technologies. Is the air cargo industry a laggard when it comes to digital transformation,” she asks.
