The future of the Malayalam language is bleak. Despite the independence of the country, we have not been able to do justice to the language. If you ask me what the evidence is, look no further. Malayalam is still not our official language, not the language of justice, not the language of teaching, not the language of any employment, not the language of any religion, caste, or movement. Just a schedule language. That is a Scheduled Language of India! Degraded language!
