Though a pioneer in the modern tamil poetry movement Rudrapathy popularly known as Mahakavi had not been discussed in Tamil literary environment. This issue Kalachuvadu focuses on Mahakavi with a brilliant introduction by M A Nuhmam and a selection of Mahakavi’s writings by poet Cheran. The main article of this issue is the debate on me too movement in Tamil circumstances. T Parameswari, Ma, Geetha Narayanan take part in the interviews and Burkha Dutt, T M Krishna, Parvathy Thiruvoth, Chinmayi Sreepada, Bhuvana Seshadri and Meena Kandasamy in the discussion.There were great demises this month such as K M Natarajan, a Gandhian, Sundarlal Bahuguna, the lover of trees, Mythili Sivaraman, the firebrand leftist and Siddalaingaiah, the well known Dalit writer. These personalities are paid tribute. S R Krishnamurthy writes on the Booker prize winner David Diop. Vannanilavan and Noel Nadesan present stories and Y Manikandan brings new findings in Bharati research.
