The main focus of the March 2018 issue of Kalachuvadu is on Language and Education. Various aspects of this issue being discussed elaborately by Dr E Annamalai
( Chicago university ), Dr. A K Perumal ( eminent scholar and folkrorist ), Dr. M A Srinivasan ( Jawaharlal Nehru university ), P aa Jayaprakasam ( well known Tamil writer ) and J R V Edward ( Professor and senate member ). The subject is viewed in multiple angles by these contributors. Vallabhai writes on the entry of film stars
into politics which is poignant and informative. The editorial on the Cauvery river issue establshes the unnoticed aspects in the dispute between the two states in the light of recent judgment of the Spureme Court. The literary section consists of three short stories, respectively by Kalyanaraman, Balakumar Vijayaraman and Satyanandan and poems by Sabarinathan, Arifraja ( Kannada poems translated by G Nanjudan ), and Manarkadar. Sasikala Babu's translation of Cynthia Ozick's story
adds value to this section. Satchidanandan Sugirtharaja from London writes a squeal to his early article on Comfort women. Sukumaran pays tribute to Nicanor Parra by revisiting the poet and publishing translation of some his poems.
