The issue has two Special Sections:

1. Tamil and other languages: Native speakers of other languages have been making valuable contributions to Tamil. This section carries a couple of articles on this phenomenon and a few profiles of writers and publishers who belong to this category.

2. The tragic story of Gaza: This section looks deep into the tragedies of the Palestinian people. It contains articles and poems on the issue.

The issue has two editorials. One is a detailed and in-depth analysis of the recent state elections and the other one is on Sahitya Academy Award.

The editorial is a detailed analysis of Sanatana Dharma debate. It questions the genuineness of the advocates of Sanatana Dharma in eradicating the inequalities of Hinduism. Senior writer P.A. Krishnan traces the various explanations and definitions of Sanatana Dharma through ages.

The conversation between Ki. Rajanarayanan and Vallikkannan on G. Azhagirisamy throws light on the writings and personality of G. Azhagirisamy. The insightful conversation was broadcasted in AIR 44 years ago. The transcription of the same is published for the first time thanks to the efforts of writer Pazha Athiyaman. It gains more importance as this is the centenary year of legendary G. Azhagirisamy.
Yuvan Chandrasekar analyses Sureshkumara Indrajith’s short stories in detail. This well written article dwells deep into the fictional world of Sureshkumara Indrajith.

This is the notion behind to bring Gandhi a subject of new discussions. The writers and activist born after Gandhi see him with different perspectives. P Raman a Malayalam poet writes about the Tamil poems by Isai. The cover is designed by Manivannan.

Well known writer Ambai has been selected for  this year's Sahitya Akademy award . To commemorate the rare occasion of the pioneer in feminist writing  winning the award kalachuvadu publishes  two articles on Ambai's life and work respectively by J Sudarvizhi and Sharmila Seyyid. Four writers belong to different generations contribute stories for this issue, They are Vannanilavan, Perumal murugan, A S Kandarajah and M Kulasekaran. Y Manikandan in his research article on Bharati finds the truth behind the argument that Bharati did not speak about Jallianwala bagh massacre held in the British regime. Satchidanandan Sugirtharaja and S Anand pay tribute to Desmond Tutu the revolutionary arch bishop and Sidney Poitier the rebel actor of hollywood. Uma devi contributes her fine poems in this issue.

The annual number of Kalachuvadu this time is published in bulk size with double of the regular pages and more features. There are two special sections devoted to Education and Tamil cinema. The interview section has Ganesh Devi's views on the Harappan civilization. To commemorate the Jnanpith award poem of Nilamani Pukahaan winner for 2020 and a story by Damodar Mauzo winner for 2021 are published. Sukumaran writes about Vinod Dua the media man who passed away recently.  There is book section consists of excerpts from four forth coming books. The Pothigai pages this time devoted to M Krishnan one of the pioneer in the field of wild life and environment. The speciality in this pages are Krishnan's wildlife photographs. Stories by T Janakiraman, Edgar Karat, Ragavendra and Kanagaraj Balasubramaniam are treat for story lovers.

Though a mainstream movie , Jai Bhim' ( Tamil ) directed by T J Gnanavel has created hot waves both in the Tamil filmdom and political circles. Kalachuvadu in its editorial and review elaborately discusses the contemporary relevance of this movie. K Thirunavukkarasu writes on the end of the kisan struggle which lasted almost an year. S R Krishanamurthy introduces the mann booker award winner of the year. P Sahadevan on Feminism , Stalin Rajangam on Dalit reforms through Vaishnav sect, Abhilash on fiction and time, Sukirtharani on Safety and security of girl children and C Mohan on artist M Natesh's works are there among contributions. G Kuppusamy and Perundevi  by their short stories and Priyasamy, Anandakumar, Peru Vishnukumar, Sivanesan Raja and Vigneshkumar  by their poems contribute to this issue. Perumalmurugan and Y manikandan revisits Ku Pa Rajagopalan and Bharati. THe book excerpts of three novels are the miss not section.

Kalachuvadu Pathippagam completed its quarter century  in 2021. Since 1996 the publication serves in the field of publishing. To commemorate this a virtual celebration had been conducted with the participation of writers and well wishers from different corner othe world. The event has been covered extensively in this issue. P A Krishnan writes on the relation of parliament and judiciary in our democratic system. A Muthulingam and Ponmukhali contribute short stories, Muthuvel and Veera write on cinema, Santhan and S R Krishanamurthy introduce Abdul Razak Gurnah and a group of poets present their poems.
