मध्य प्रदेश के होशंगाबाद जिले के बगरतावा गांव के दीपक सोलंकी जांच के बाद 8 अप्रैल को कोरोनावायरस संक्रमित पाए गए, दो दिन पहले सोलंकी और उनकी पत्नी अनीता में बुखार और फ्लू जैसे अन्य लक्षण उभरे थे लेकिन उनका मानना था कि कोविड तो शहरों में होता है इसलिए उन्हें बस फ्लू ही हुआ होगा. हालांकि जिला चिकित्सा प्रतिनिधि, 45 वर्षीय दीपक के आग्रह पर उन्होंने आरटी-पीसीआर टेस्ट कराया तो संक्रमित निकले. दीपक को उसी दिन एक निजी अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया और दो दिन बाद अनीता को भी भर्ती कराना पड़ा. 18 और 15 वर्ष की उनकी दो बेटियां और 12 साल का बेटा उनके भतीजे श्रीकांत सोलंकी की देखभाल में घर में ही थे. तीनों बच्चे भी संक्रमित निकले थे.
