Also featured is a fictional story, ‘Yellow Submarine’, where Anupa Mehta touches on the delicate nature of transference and counter-transference, when researching with human subjects. Author and dancer, Sapna Rangaswamy talks about the importance of writing for yourself and her journey as a writer and debut novelist Kirthi Jayakumar, beautifully narrates the pain and anguish behind unspoken words in her fictional piece, ‘Silence’. 

With this issue, our serial story, ‘Pieces’, come to a very dramatic end that you don’t want to miss! From this issue, we are introducing a very exciting section, ‘Estrade Recommends’, listing books that have recently been released worldwide, from different genre, specially recommended by our team. Our ‘Bookshelf’ includes reviews of the ‘must-read’ books and watch out for upcoming literary events, workshops and competitions in our ‘Events’ section.

The June 2013 Vol 1. Issue 2. of Estrade has been given a complete makeover from content to design. It features the work of Raksha Bharadia, Anjum Hasan, Kamini Patel and Shailesh Parekh. The issue also features a short story by Shantanu Jain (14yrs.), winner of the short story competition held by Estrade in May 2013. In addition, the story ‘Pieces’ from the March issue is taken forward by Kosha Dholakia.
