Independence Day is a special day, and our issue is dedicated to India and our independence. We have designed this issue so that you can explain to our young explorers how important it is to live in a free country.
August 15th is a national festival and has equal importance for every Indian, regardless of religion, class or race. Through this magazine, we’ve tried our best to instill a feeling of pride among your kids. Tell them to hold their heads up high and be 
a proud Indian!

Our next few issues will explore the wonderful world of animals – starting with mammals. 
I am sure our children are going to enjoy these issues and this will add to what they 
are learning in school.

Our last issue took you on a journey to Asia- a journey which we continue in this edition! We want your child to get familiar with the foods, the culture and the beauty that Asia contains. So sit back, read together and enjoy discovering Asia.

This time, we will be focusing on exploring new continents and countries. Of course, we will be starting with the continent we live in – Asia! Then we will be travelling across other continents, discovering animals and amazing places. 
I hope you will travel with us too.

This one is a special issue for all those who love chocolates. We talk about cocoa beans, making chocolate cake and even the fact that cocoa beans were at one time used as money.

Our new issue explores another habitat – grasslands. Learn about many of the wonderful animals that live in these areas. Children are fascinated with most grassland animals  – the lion, giraffe, zebra, meerkat and many more. We have also included activities centred around the theme of Halloween. This issue is full of witches, crazy hats and angry bats!

Our magazine is designed to build awareness and fuel a child’s curiosity to learn more. In this issue we are taking a journey into wonderful rainforests. Rainforests play an important role in our lives and are often referred to as the “lungs” of the Earth. Explore and take this journey with your child. Love our forests. We are introducing deserts in this issue. Try asking your little one what a desert habitat is like, and then show them this issue. It is filled with ideas for teaching your kids all about the desert, the animals found there and the vegetation. With Holi just around the corner, we decided to dedicate this issue to vibrant hues! What better time to explore the world of colours. Monsoons brings with it showers and cheers as the weather gets cooler! It is one of the most important seasons as we need rain for our crops to grow. The importance of weather in our everyday lives is obvious. It affects our lives every day. It is extremely important for children to understand why our environment is the way it is.
This month in Kids Explore magazine, we talk about weather conditions as well as the Indian  monsoon!
Step into the world of weather with your kids and help them learn about clouds, rain, wind, snow and interesting weather topics with games, quizzes and interesting facts.

In this issue we explore an important science concept, LIGHT. Given that Diwali is the festival of light, there was no better time. You will be amazed how your little ones understand this concept so easily.

One of the areas we focus on is self-esteem. A healthy self-esteem equips a child to 
face the challenges of the world, making them happier with a better resistance to negative influences.

As a parent remaining positive is the first step! Try reframing your suggestions – for example replace “don’t eat with dirty hands” with “please wash your hands before eating”. Avoid words like “don’t”, “silly” and “bad”. Smaller children find it tough to comprehend negative words.

Children learn about their bodies in schools. We wanted to reinforce what they learnt through a fun issue filled with activities, competitions 
and rhymes. 

A healthy body is critical for a child’s overall development. While we introduce simple concepts, we have also focused on how they can take care of their bodies.

Agriculture is an important industry in our country. A huge part of our economy depends on farming and related activities. 

This issue is all about growing food. It introduces kids to the world of farming. They will learn about the different types of crops that are grown in India and find out where food comes from.

The theme of this issue is transport. Discuss all the various forms of transport with your child. This could be just different cars, buses and cycles on the road if you are staying home!
